DUI Crash In Cedar Lake Takes Out Three Vehicles Including Cop Car

Cedar Lake, Indiana police say a man driving 60 miles an hour in a 30 zone Sunday morning damaged three cars on a driveway, one of them a police vehicle,  when the street he was on came to an end while he was allegedly looking at his cell phone.  Police say 19 year old Isaiah Garcia of Schererville, was on 147th Ave. in Cedar Lake at Cline Ave where 147th ends at a row of houses, one of which belongs to a Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy.  The resulting driveway collision damaged a police vehicle, pushing it into a Jeep, which then pushed a Dodge Durango through a fence, taking out an air conditioner and a gas meter on the home in the process. Nobody was hurt.  Garcia is facing multiple charges including driving under the influence.
