One Arrested for Shots Fired in Jasper County

Jasper County Sheriff’s police were called to a home southwest of DeMotte earlier this week for shots fired.  The caller told 911 his wife had fired off a round in the basement of their home, but when deputies arrived and spoke with the wife, she claimed he fired the gun.   Police say an initial investigation indicated David Knestrict had fired the weapon and was arrested for criminal recklessness.  Knestrict claims it was an accident.
