The Village of Manteno has approved a new intergovernmental agreement with Kankakee County, The City of Kankakee, and the Village of Bourbonnais to continue the relationship with Visit Kankakee County to promote tourism in Kankakee County. Village officials approved the new agreement at Monday Night’s Village board meeting. Mayor Tim Nugent says there is a change in the new agreement that changes the way hotel taxes will be distributed.
The new agreement that goes into effect July first was necessary after the Village of Bradley pulled their funding.
